Mission & Vision

Loving Others Thru Service, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit Georgia corporation, comprised entirely of volunteer citizens. LOTS was created to provide a mechanism for those who have to give to those in need.

Once a month we serve individuals in the Atlanta, GA area who are staying on the streets, as well as those living in abandoned buildings and transitional apartments, by providing basic necessities such as weather-appropriate clothing, hygiene items, nutritious snacks, extras such as reading glasses and Bibles, and most importantly, kindness. Every donation we receive is given away to support our mission of loving others right where they are.

History

Loving Others Thru Service, Inc. was founded in August 2023, but we have been serving our community in this capacity for nearly two years.

In late 2021, we were looking for a way to repurpose denim insulation from meal delivery boxes. We decided to purchase waterproof fabric and make thirty mats to be distributed to individuals sleeping on the streets. We had seen people using pieces of cardboard as “beds” and knew these mats would be an improvement. On our first visit to Edgewood Avenue in January 2022, we quickly realized there was more we could do. With each trip downtown our inventory grew to meet specific requests.

Robyn Pinto

Treasurer

Robyn has been a resident of Georgia since 1992. She lives in Milton with her husband of 30 years, and her 3 children. Over the past 18 years, while living in Milton, Robyn has given back to the community through her participation in many different volunteer organizations.

Robyn is also the majority owner of Sylvan Advisory and Consulting LLC, where she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a consulting firm that provides advice and counsel to small- and medium-sized businesses.

Lauren Cunningham

President

Lauren moved to Georgia in 2005 from a small Alabama town and fell in love with the city. She lives in Sandy Springs with her husband. She is actively involved at North Point Community Church as a Waumba Land volunteer and a ladies small group leader. She enjoys attending Braves games and Broadway shows.
